UK-Taiwan artist-in-residence with Taipei Artist Village and East Street Arts during Leeds 2023

Platform Asia is pleased to announce our partnership with Taipei Artists Village and East Street Arts on our second international exchange programme during Leeds 2023.

Leeds-based artist Sayang will take part in a residency programme at Treasure Hill Artist Village, Taipei from Jan-March 2023. SAYANG is a Malaysian/British DJ, sound artist, producer and activist exploring race, queerness and accessibility in club and queer culture.

Taiwanese artist Jui-Hung Ni (倪瑞宏) will be in residency at East Streets Arts between Feb-March during Leeds 2023 festival. Ni is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in illustrations, installations, literature, and Feminist studies through field research, often drawing inspiration from Taiwanese subcultures of the 70s through modern days.

The project has been supported by the Arts Council England and the Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs. Delivered in association with East Street Arts, Taipei Artist Village (TAV) and Treasure Hill Artist Village (THAV).
