Foundations of Spatial Audio
Isa Ferri (Head of Sound, IKLECTIK)
6 pm

If you’re new to 3D sound, this specially designed programme is a wonderful opportunity to discover the basics of creating and producing immersive audio. It also offers a friendly introduction to working with multichannel sound systems.
Led by the Head of Sound at IKLECTIK, this introductory session explores the history and evolution of spatial sound through a talk and live demonstration, covering Ambisonics, loudspeaker environments and contemporary immersive listening practices.
About IKLECTIK
Founded in London in 2014, IKLECTIK has built an international reputation for presenting work that sits between music, performance, technology and research. We support artists working at the edges of form — where sound becomes spatial, performance fills the space, and audiences are invited into new ways of listening.
IKLECTIK is one of the few grassroots organisations in the UK developing work with multi-channel and three-dimensional audio systems, enabling artists to compose in space, not just in stereo.
Move sound through and around audiences.
Explore listening as a physical and emotional experience.
For us, sound is not background. It is architecture. It is the environment. It is something you step inside.
Audience target/s
Everyone, newcomers to 3D sound, musicians, audiovisual artists, sound engineers and producers, and Asian communities
